Fourth Quarter Interface meeting between Municipal Assembly Staff and Members of Network for Accountable Governance (NAG)

Interface meetings between duty bearers and citizen action groups are a critical component of social accountability mechanisms which offers the opportunity to citizen groups individuals and stakeholders to demand accountability, set targets, and plan among others to improve service delivery in local governance. The EU-WGMA project which has a component of social accountability, organized an interface meeting between members of a municipal wide citizen action group Network for Accountable Governance (NAG) and the municipal assembly personnel after the group monitored physical projects of the municipal Assembly and also conducted an HIV Sensitization and Climate Change Sensitization. This report summarizes issues arising out of the Fourth interface meeting and its implications for service delivery and accountable local governance.
